Latavia S. Agada (LCSW-S) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has built her career on helping people find healing, clarity, and resilience in the face of life’s challenges. She practices across several states—including Illinois, Texas, Virginia, and Florida—offering therapy virtually so that her clients can access care wherever they are. Her path into social work was shaped by a broad curiosity about people and cultures. After earning a degree in Sociology/Anthropology and Russian at Swarthmore College, she went on to complete her Master’s in Clinical Social Work at the University of Chicago, deepening her understanding of both international social welfare and the personal, individual work of healing. She later expanded her focus with studies in international psychology, giving her a global perspective that now informs her therapeutic approach. Latavia’s practice is deeply client-centered and trauma-informed. She blends evidence-based methods such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Solution-Focused Therapy with more narrative and mindfulness-driven approaches, tailoring her work to each client’s needs. Whether she’s helping someone process grief, navigate anxiety, rebuild self-esteem, or face trauma, she brings warmth, directness, and a commitment to helping people discover their own strength.
